  My mother died on Friday and I brought my surviving father, under hospice care and with dementia, in on the following Monday to get a more comfortable bed to replace the poor one that he had been sleeping on for 25 years. He loved a bed and mattress that cost about $2600 so I ordered but wasn't certain about a delivery date yet. Called back a couple days later to provide a delivery date, and was met with a rude salesperson. So rude that I decided to cancel order. I also called Mattress One customer service to cancel and complain about this store. They called the store and minutes later the store sales rep called me and continued to argue with me on the phone. This was very unprofessional of the store and the corporate customer service. But it gets worse. I took my business to another separate Mattress One store to order the same bed and mattress. The sale rep at that store, was very polite and ordered everything fine...until delivery took place. My sales order in writing indicated Mattress One to pick up and take away my old platform bed once the new bed was delivered. On delivery day, I drove 2.5hrs one-way to get to my where my father lived to make sure delivery went ok...it didn't. Delivery people said that we were first delivery of the day and refused to take away the old bed saying it was furniture and they do not have room on the truck. They did not offer to come back for the old bed either. So again, I complained to Mattress One customer service. Their response was to offer me a free pillow. Eventually the customer service manager offered my $50 compensation...big Whoop...totally unacceptable. And, offered no apologies of any kind. Bottom line: you may or may not get a decent sales rep with Mattress Once, and their customer service and delivery people are the absolute worse. Stay away from this company. The products they sell seem to be good, but their corporate support systems are not friendly and do not deserve your business. Eventually they offered to pickup the bed, but I had to arrange for someone else to do this since I no longer trust Mattress One.
